On Wednesday 28th October ella launched in Merseyside. We were joined at Everton Football Ground by over 20 leaders of charities and social enterprises from across the North West of England.
ella speaker Ken Allison kicked off the Forum with a thought provoking session on Employment Law. This was followed by a members session discussing issues, challenges and opportunities relevant to the sector. The Forum was hosted by Steve Taylor Smith, ella’s Development Director (North) who comes from the Wirral, is a prolific coach and has worked alongside charities across Northern England for many years.

We were also delighted to be joined by ella Group 3/10 member Claire Hyde who is the Deputy Chief Executive of NYAS. Claire said a few words about her time with ella that we wanted to share with you;
“There has never been a more challenging time in the charity sector with adverse publicity around fundraising activities and the controversy surrounding Kids Company. ella is helping me to develop and in turn the organisation to develop to withstand the challenges and see them as opportunities. Having been an ella for a few months now I have a growing circle of support and cannot emphasise how valuable both this and the coaching sessions are. For me, ella is an absolute lifeline”
